Effective storytelling demands discipline. FWR uses narrative techniques, film, and graphic novels to distill future system interactions, UX, and tactical factors. Sea Strike, our acclaimed short film, showcases advanced tech and tactics in a 2043 naval battle. It’s complemented by a graphic novel series exploring geopolitics and future tech.
First-principle guided design efforts lead to groundbreaking solutions. FWR’s design endeavors span diverse domains, encompassing command centers, immersive experiences, and visionary prototypes for airframes, unmanned platforms, missiles, and cutting-edge human-machine interfaces. FWR currently supports the Navy’s Force Design 2045 effort and Naval Aviation.

Has a 30+ year career in the U.S. Navy (including the Reserves), a 20+ year career as a producer and TV writer for shows such as NCIS, The Last Ship, and Commander in Chief. He served on several ships, Pacific Fleet Plans and Policy desks, NATO, and as a United Nations peacekeeper. He is a member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA). B.S. in English from U.S. Naval Academy. M.P.A. from Harvard Kennedy School.

Has a 30+ year career as a lawyer, a 10-year career as an Army reserve officer. She is a State Department appointee to the Defense Trade Advisory Group and a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). She earned a B.A. in political science and a B.S. in management from Boston University on a U.S. Army R.O.T.C. scholarship, as well as both a J.D. and LL.M. from Cornell Law School.
